As we grow and add services, our goal is to be able to help you manage your health in all ways from a natural approach that uses drugs or surgery as a last resort. You may ultimately need surgery or to rely on drugs, but you will know that you have tried everything that physical medicine can offer first.
Bring us your physical therapy prescription and see how our personalized and individual attention rather than an assembly line of exercise machines work. Our entire staff operates as a team with a variety of training and capabilities. If it is Surgery Rehab, Accident Recovery, Workers’ Compensation, Weight Loss, Better Balance, Functional Medicine, Spinal Care, Headache Relief, or to visit our Pain Clinic, we are here to help.

Types of Care
At our practice, our treatments consist of four phases of care. When you first come in for an appointment, we will thoroughly discuss and diagnose your needs, then come up with a treatment plan that works for you.
1
Relief
We focus on getting you out of pain. We remove spasms and swelling so your pain goes away. Frequency is important and typically three times a week until pain is gone.
2
Corrective
*This is our most common care plan*
After you begin getting some relief, we help to correct the cause of the pain.
When you choose this type of care you understand that your muscles & tendons need time to change so that your body functions differently and the pain doesn’t quickly return. Usually, your treatment frequency decreases as you go and re-exams tell us when to change frequencies. See below for the phases of corrective care.
3
As Needed
Come when you want.
We do not manage your treatment plan.
The goal is short-term pain relief.
No long-term change is expected.
4
Maintenance
If you continue the daily activities that promote stress and pain, a regular checkup of your spine will help you stay healthy and out of pain.
This type of care is most effective after relief or corrective care is completed and may not be covered by insurance.
Phases of Corrective Care
“A goal without a plan is just a wish” Antoine de Saint-Exupery
1
Relief Phase
Most of our patients begin treatment here because they’re suffering from an ache or pain they think we can help them with. Relief is obtained when spasm and swelling is reduced. Frequency is important to obtain this goal in a short period of time. DON’T MISS YOUR APPOINTMENTS. But note that long-term changes with muscles and tendons will not be achieved at this point. Then you’ll have a decision to make. You’ll be feeling better, so will you be inclined to build on your foundation and retrain supporting muscle? Improve biomechanics? Stabilize spinal function and fully heal and optimize your spine. That’s our goal for you. If that is your goal as well…
2
Corrective Phase
After your first re-examination with your doctor, if you choose to obtain long-term correction we must now work on flexibility and strength in order to change the way your body functions long term. The frequency of treatments can be reduced however the duration of time that we do our treatments must allow for that tissue to change. This may take weeks and ultimately a lot of this corrective care you may be able to do at home.
Or, will you choose to coast, possibly suffering a series of roller coaster relapses, that go away for a short time and then unexpectedly return?
It’s your choice. You don’t have to decide now, but be thinking about the implications of these two choices in the weeks and months ahead.
3
Stabilization
Once your muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints are functioning properly we must strengthen or stabilize so that this change will last. Our frequency of treatment is much less as we monitor your progress with home exercise.
4
Wellness Phase
If you continue the daily activities that promote stress and pain, a regular checkup of your spine will help you stay healthy and out of pain. This type of care is most effective after relief or corrective care is completed and may not be covered by insurance.

Founder
Kevin D. Trembush BS. DC
Owner & Clinic Director, Chiropractic Physician
“Chiropractic care, Physical therapy, and Massage therapy may not seem connected at first glance, but it’s undeniable how well those three areas go hand in hand. A dozen years of literature says to put those together, and you get better results. That’s what we do here.”
“We’re using all of these modalities to help get people better, but because it’s such a broad scope of knowledge, it’s not just about spine pain, or neck pain, or back pain. We can treat shoulders, knees, and ankle injuries. We can handle anywhere that hurts on your body pretty much,” he said. “You don’t find that in most conventional therapies.”

“I built a business model that hopefully does not rely on me. So I would love to see this practice specifically, but this practice model not just lives another 10 or 20 years but will thrive 50 years from now. This is the way that health care should be handled. And this is built to last with or without me.”
“I don’t cure anything!” That’s what Dr. Trembush’s first chiropractor told him. He had suffered from pain through high school and college sports. Medication offered no help. ” I simply apply a specific adjustment and your body can cure itself. I just remove the interference to its ability to heal.”
So for Dr. Trembush, a career in chiropractic began because of the ease with which it helped his pain. “I’ll never forget that first adjustment. It was like that pain and pressure were trying to get out of my body but just needed a little help. That is when I knew I would be a chiropractor.” That soon grew into an understanding that chiropractic is more than a means of relief. It is a way to live a more productive, satisfying, and meaningful life.
Dr. Trembush earned his first B.S. degree at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. After completing his study there, he was accepted at The National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, IL. During his four years at the National, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques, and patient care in the National Public Clinic. After graduating, Dr. Trembush helped grow a successful practice in the Chicago area before returning to West Virginia to establish his practice.
“We love skeptics,” smiles Dr. Trembush. “I still remember the concerns and apprehension I had when I went to the chiropractor for the first time. So we make it a point to explain everything in advance, answer questions and attempt to over-communicate. Before any treatments begin, we discuss the cause of the problem, a detailed treatment plan, and any pertinent insurance benefits information. Patients appreciate that.”
Dr. Trembush lives in Morgantown with his wife, April, and four daughters, Karsyn Josie, Evyn, and Marli. Outside of the clinic, his main passion is spending time with his family and his English Mastiff, Judge. He enjoys the outdoors and still loves football.
Dr. Trembush receives an adjustment a few times every month. He appreciates the importance of dietary supplementation for health so he and his family take pharmaceutical-grade multivitamins and omega-3 fatty acids daily. By staying active, monitoring the number of toxins he is exposed to, and staying well adjusted, Dr. Trembush knows that even on the rare occasion that he does get sick, his body can recover without turning to medication. Ask him how you can have this confidence in your body.
“Thanks for visiting our site. I hope it can be a source of hope and healing. I look forward to meeting you in person and learning how we may be of service to you. Give our Morgantown office a call, or email me using the link below and let’s arrange a time to explore your options.”

Michele loves spending time with her children. In her spare time, she also enjoys playing in a steel drum band here in Morgantown.
I returned to work as a physical therapist after raising 3 wonderful children and wanted to use my degree in physical therapy to help people. I found it refreshing to see at AHW that chiropractors, physical therapists, and nurse practitioners all work together to help make people’s lives better.
A typical day starts with meetings and huddles. I also do new patient examinations and reexaminations on current patients, which includes documenting and instituting care plans and signing daily notes. I stay in communication with staff on progressing patients with their treatment plans and communicate with patients, doctors, and insurance companies as necessary.

I was born in Fairmont, WV but was raised following my father’s career in the US Air Force taking me all around the world. A large portion of my childhood was spent living in Europe and seeing parts of the world most could only dream of. I moved back to West Virginia to attend high school and I quickly realized I wanted to stay in the area and be near my grandparents and extended family.
I began building my career in the hospitality industry when my mother fell sick and needed me home more often. This lead me to healthcare, I needed a stable job in a growing industry that allowed me to help not only my family but also the community around me.
After graduating from a Medical Billing program I was led to Advantage as a student intern with hours to complete as a graduation requirement. I quickly found my place here, was offered a full-time position, and started to help build each of the billing positions we have today. I soon became a leader of the TEAM and accepted a position as Billing Manager. Advantage has helped me to obtain many certifications and credentials to help grow my knowledge not only for the job I am performing but also help me grow as a manager within the company.
I am forever grateful for the risk they took on me, fresh out of school with little experience. Working with the doctors and staff here has created such a loving, family-like atmosphere with so much love and support that I truly feel at home every day I am here.

From Front Desk to Marketing and Public Relations to her current role managing finances, payroll, and anything else that she can help with, April wears many hats.
April is originally from Copen, WV, and moved to Morgantown WV in 1989 to attend WVU and make Morgantown her new home.
She and Dr. Trembush have 4 beautiful, intelligent, and healthy daughters ranging from college to elementary school. A flexible schedule with AHW allows April to be home with their daughters when needed. They are certainly her greatest and favorite accomplishment and role. Rounding out the family are their two English Mastiffs.
April feels she is equally fortunate to have an amazing TEAM that is competent and trusted to manage anything while she is away. This is a testament to her husband, Dr. Trembush who leads by example and has undoubtedly found the greatest group of individuals around that she is so very proud to work with. Together, they insist on treating patients like family and believe their TEAM does also.
It touches her heart to have seen so many people benefit from the healthcare at AHW and regain a better quality of life. Her heart is full seeing the relationships this TEAM has built with many of our patients… sincere joy over their successes and truly taking them into their hearts when life has thrown them a curveball.
I hope you and yours never need us. But if you ever find yourself in a situation that you do, even if it’s just to fine-tune an already healthy lifestyle, I hope you give us a chance.
