Welcome 2015! It is the time of year to get excited and motivated about the new you! What are some of your goals for the New Year? Most people want to lose weight, be healthier, have more energy, be more successful, get organized, save more money, etc… How do you take your health goals and create a lifestyle change?
The first week into a diet change is always difficult, but once you get past that point your sugar/carbohydrate cravings should subside significantly. now you will need to rely on determination to keep you going. The good thing about willpower is that the more you use it the stronger it gets.
Once you get out your muscle memory and get back to the movement and eating habits that you know helps you feel GREAT you will be feeling better already! Getting started is the hardest part, so do it now. MAKE THE DECISION to create the change and you WILL become a better, healthier, happier you in 2015.
Some tips for a better 2015:
* Drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water a day. I always recommend using a large container so it’s easier to remember how many refills you need.
* Eat fresh foods…fruits, vegetables and good healthy meats. This is not a diet, it’s a lifestyle change. “Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food.” Hippocrates
* Exercise…get moving. Taking a walk 5 days a week is an easy and enjoyable way to start.
